Loop Newsletter – June 2016

My Dear Friends,

I hope that your celebration of the Passover holiday was a pleasant one. My thanks to those who participated in our annual Chol Hamoed Passover Lunch program and to Rabbi Kroll for making sure that the food was plentiful and of the highest quality. I want to also thank those in attendance at the lunches for contributing to Moes Chitim, enabling those less fortunate to enjoy the blessings of Pesach.

Please remember to be generous to the Chicago Loop Synagogue during Shavuot Yizkor. Your contributions help this synagogue to remain viable, while at the same time providing a fitting tribute to those departed loved ones you are remembering during the Yizkor service.

Before you know it, the High Holidays will again be upon us. Cantor Dudu Fisher will once again be joining us for High Holiday services, accompanied by Menashe Lev-Ran and the Tel Aviv Lev-Ran singers. If you haven’t heard Dudu and the choir yet, you are missing an amazing experience! Please contact the synagogue office for information regarding tickets, hotel and meal packages.

My best wishes for a happy and meaningful Shavuot and an enjoyable summer! Mark J. Schechter
